The Giant Center Hershey opened its doors on October 15, 2002, and soon became the new home of the Hershey Bears ice-hockey team. Prior to their Giant Center Hershey relocation, Hersheypark Arena had been the Bears' home.
In addition to Bears' games, the Giant Center schedule features a variety of large-scale events from the worlds of sport, entertainment and politics. A performance by Cher marked the official opening of the venue in 2002, and since then, the Giant Center schedule has welcomed the likes of Keith Urban, Jordin Sparks, Elton John, The Harlem Globetrotters, WWE wrestling and Presidential candidate John McCain.
Depending on the event, Giant Center Hershey can hold anywhere between 10,000 - 12,500 people.
